Position Summary:

As an Advanced Equipment Technician, you will perform preventative and routine maintenance on equipment, as well as repair malfunctioning new and existing mid-range equipment. You will plan your work schedule based on work order priorities and routine task calendars.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform and document scheduled preventative maintenance on mid-range equipment
2. Perform single point calibration of moderate complexity
3. Perform moderate repairs to malfunctioning equipment per work orders
4. Conduct routine inspections of equipment
5. Install new and existing equipment
6. Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
7. Assist and train other Equipment Technicians as needed
8. Follow safety, quality, and training guidelines and regulations
9. Perform additional duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 3-5 years relevant experience
• Or, Technical/Associate degree with 1-3 years relevant experience
• Experience operating material handling equipment is required
• Experience with biotechnology equipment is preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to stand 6-8+ hours
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Use of basic hand and power tools
• Extended hours, including evenings and weekends
• Work outdoors as needed
• Travel to off-site locations as required
• Effective problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Word and Excel
• Independent and team work skills
• Prioritization skills
