Job summary

McPherson Hospital Inc. is seeking a dedicated EMT to provide direct patient care in pre-hospital and inter-facility transfer settings. You will work independently or with a partner, manage patient care, and maintain facilities and equipment including ambulances.

Qualifications

• EMT must operate within scope of practice and maintain a professional calm in emergencies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple priorities during transport and inter-facility transfers.

Responsibilities

• Performs ALS skills including airway management, IV/IO access, medications, EKG placement and interpretation.
• Leads and supports partner to maintain an organized, proactive EMS workflow.
• Manages multi-casualty scenes and ensures accurate documentation of care provided.
• Documents electronic medical records accurately to prevent missing or incorrect information.
• Supports routine shift duties and collaborates with hospital staff and EMS partners.
