Job summary

HANCO EMS in Findlay, OH is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician to deliver pre-hospital and trauma care within the scope of certification. The role supports the local 911 response, provides patient assessment, treatment, and transport to the nearest appropriate facility in line with medical protocols.

You will document runs, maintain vehicle readiness, restock supplies, and participate in trainings to maintain certification.

Qualifications

• Must hold Ohio EMS EMT certification.
• Current CPR card within 30 days.
• Valid driver’s license required with state-specific constraints.
• Strong service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills.
• ODPS EMT certification reciprocity for out-of-state credentials.
• Within 6 months: complete NIMS IS-100/200/700/800; HazMat Awareness Level.
• Within 1 year: CEVO (Coach the Emergency Vehicle Operator).

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-hospital and trauma care within certification scope.
• Transport patients to nearest appropriate hospital or facility as required.
• Complete run reports with signatures and provide a copy to receiving facility.
• Enter patient data into the Ohio State Reporting program.
• Restock supplies and ensure equipment is returned to proper location.
• Sanitize and disinfect vehicle and equipment as needed.
• Participate in debriefing sessions.
• Keep up with updates to pre-hospital procedures and regulations.
• Attend monthly trainings or CEU classes to maintain certification and licensure.
• Perform daily and weekly vehicle inspections and know equipment locations.
• Operate equipment on each response vehicle.
• Participate in building/grounds maintenance.
