Job summary

Iredell County EMS seeks an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician to respond with a two-person crew, deliver intermediate life support, and transport patients to facilities. You will ensure quality care, proper equipment, and adherence to protocols under a medical director's guidance.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, documentation, equipment maintenance, and participation in ongoing training to improve medical technical skills and ambulance operation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Advanced EMT certification required.
• Possession of NC Driver's License.
• CPR, ICS 100/200/700/800 (NIMS) and HazMat Level 1 Responder certifications within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies as part of a two-person EMS crew.
• Provide intermediate level life support and medical treatments.
• Operate emergency medical unit and transport patients.
• Gather patient information for records and billing.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and ambulance readiness.
• Participate in ongoing training and protocol studies.
