Job summary

Durham County Government's Emergency Medical Services is seeking qualified candidates to transport patients and provide basic and advanced life support across all ages, from infants to seniors. Successful completion of the North Carolina EMS training program or equivalent is required.

AEMT certification by the State of North Carolina and a valid NC driver's license with a clean driving record are required. This is full-time, 40 hours per week, non-exempt, with a $6,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Requires completion of the North Carolina EMS training program or equivalent.
• AEMT certification is required by the State of North Carolina.
• Valid NC driver’s license with a three-year acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients of all ages and render basic and advanced life support.
• Collaborate with EMS teams and hospital staff to ensure smooth handoffs.
