Summary:
The Advanced EMT role can provide basic life support with additional select advanced life support skills during both pre-hospital and interfacility transport to care for their patients when indicated by the patient’s injury or illness in accordance with State protocols and departmental guidelines.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Education: Completion of Advanced EMT course, or equivalent, required.
  • License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) Advanced EMT license required. Valid driver’s license required; candidates must have a satisfactory driving record with no major violations as defined by company policy or insurer guidelines. Current BLS certification required. Ambulance Vehicle Operators Certification (AVOC) required within six (6) months of hire.

  • Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.

The pay range for this position is $21.97 to $29.28 per hour.
