Overview

Title: Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT)

Pay Rate: $19 - $22 per hour

Bonuses: Productivity Bonus

AEMT Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with fellow Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and management to assure top tier patient care.
  • Be flexible as emergency services operate on a 24-hour clock; work schedules may vary.
  • Remain up to date with current standards of care, equipment functions, and all certifications, licenses, and registrations as an EMT.
  • Conduct yourself in a courteous, helpful, and professional manner when dealing with patients, co-workers, supervisors, and the public.
  • Recognize and treat medical conditions with appropriate techniques, equipment, and knowledge of state and county protocols.
  • Provide top tier medical transport to medical facilities and hospitals by assuming responsibilities for patient care and following established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain rig cleanliness by stocking the rigs and taking ownership of your space.
  • Gather patient billing information and obtain appropriate billing signatures.
  • Prepare and submit a pre-hospital patient care report.
  • Respond promptly to assignments as required by the Dispatch Center.
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull 125 lbs or more.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
AEMT Qualifications
  • Texas Advanced EMT License
  • BLS with American Heart Association
  • Driver's License and acceptable driving record (Driver's License required for a minimum of 2 years)
  • FEMA ICS 100, 200, 700 and 800 certifications
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Tech-savvy or comfortable with technology
  • Able to work on a team
  • Respectful of colleagues, patients, and supervisors
  • Successfully complete Physical Aptitude Test
