Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Paris, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to support manufacturing operations. You will diagnose and repair electro-mechanical systems, perform equipment setup, troubleshoot PLCs, and lead Level I/II training.

Strong reading of schematics, safety discipline, and teamwork are essential. The role requires 3–7 years of manufacturing maintenance experience, an associate degree or equivalent, and willingness to work standby and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in related field, or equivalent related experience.
• 3-7 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures.
• Must be available for standby assignments; overtime as required.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Willing to attend training sessions, including out of state.
• Ability to assist in Training Level I and II Technicians.
• Intermediate knowledge of fabrication (e.g., welding, basic machining).
• Ability to read printed materials, blueprints, schematics, and graphics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team with others.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment.
• Repair and keep mechanical components in top operating condition.
• Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, field devices, sensors, and related components.
• Troubleshoot PLC inputs/outputs and repair issues.
• Perform setups including recipe changes and control adjustments.
• Complete projects adding electrical circuits and relocating equipment.
