Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Neurodiagnostic Technologist to perform comprehensive EEG/evoked potential testing across diverse patient populations. The role requires independent work with sophisticated instruments, strong judgment, and adherence to safety and infection control standards.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, testing procedures, history intake, data interpretation, sedation administration, and collaboration with physicians.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent, Associates degree preferred.
• 2 years EEG/evoked potential/long-term video EEG/ambulatory EEG experience or 5 years' experience and trained.
• Graduate of an accredited ElectroNeurodiagnostics/Neurophysiology program.
• Registration in EEG/evoked potentials/long-term monitoring/polysomnography via ABRET/BRPT or equivalent.
• BLS CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively in diverse situations, in writing and verbally.
• Maintain safe, infection-controlled work environment and follow safety policies.
• Participate in ongoing education through meetings, workshops and independent study.
• Assist with patient testing setup: Awake/Asleep EEG, Long-Term Video EEG, Sleep monitoring and related recordings.
• Obtain medical history and understand disease processes to adjust instrumentation accordingly.
• Observe and analyze recording changes, adjusting procedures per patient needs.
• Assist physician with invasive lead placement as required.
• Schedule and reschedule patient appointments and manage orders/registrations.
