Job summary

Coastal Kids Dental and Braces - Dorchester Rd seeks a skilled Expanded Duty Dental Assistant (EDDA) to join the team. The EDDA will support the dentist during procedures and perform expanded functions per state regulations while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

The ideal candidate holds a Dental Assistant certification with EFDA/EDDA credentials, X-ray and nitrous oxide certifications, and CPR. Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-focused approach are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Dental Assistant certification including nitrous oxide, radiography, and expanded function duties per state.
• CPR certification.
• Bilingual preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during various dental procedures and prepare/maintain instruments and materials.
• Perform expanded duties such as restorations, impressions, and sealants as permitted by state law.
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and conduct preliminary charting.
• Greet and prepare patients; provide post-treatment instructions and oral hygiene guidance.
• Maintain accurate patient records, schedule appointments, and manage dental supplies.
