Job summary

Brookwood Baptist Health Walker Hospital is seeking an experienced sonographer to perform diagnostic cardiology and vascular ultrasound imaging under supervision. The role requires at least two years of relevant experience and ARDMS/CCI eligibility with BLS certification.

You will work with providers to deliver high-quality imaging, document findings, and participate in education and quality initiatives while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of sonography.
• Maintain current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• Must be registered or eligible in ARDMS/CCI within 12 months of hire.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in echocardiography and/or vascular ultrasound.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in routine noninvasive and/or invasive cardiology/vascular ultrasound diagnostics and equipment use.
• Leads complex problem solving and ensures quality of care.
• Interprets studies and documents pertinent clinical information.
• Works with providers to perform noninvasive and invasive exams and maintains professional judgment.
• Ensures safety and compliance with regulations and Baptist Health policies.
• Supervises students and participates in education and workflow management.
