Job summary

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center is seeking an echo technologist to perform comprehensive echocardiography, including 2D, M-Mode, color Doppler, PW and CW Doppler, TEE and stress studies. The role requires ARDMS RDCS or equivalent and current BLS; ACLS preferred.

The selected candidate will operate Philips equipment in a high-volume lab, participate in patient prep, and contribute to quality assurance and billing documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an associate degree echo program and/or an accredited echo training program preferred.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers from American Heart Association required.
• RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) required.

Responsibilities

• Performs echocardiograms including 2D, M-Mode, color Doppler, pulse wave Doppler, continuous wave Doppler, TEE, and stress echo per established standards.
• Ensure patient safety and proper identification; maintain a safe environment.
• Prepare echocardiographic worksheets for physician review and interpretation; document results for billing.
• Maintain equipment and supplies; manage inventory and cleanliness in the echo lab.
• Support department Quality Assurance through accurate data collection and timely records.
