Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide person-centered care for individuals with disabilities. Full-time and part-time shifts are available, including evenings and weekends; a wage increase up to $18.50/hour after six months is offered along with a $2,000 hiring bonus.

Upon completion of six months of consistent employment, there is an opportunity to obtain a wage increase up to $18.50/hour.

We are currently hiring for a Full-Time PM position and a Part-Time AM/PM position. The full-time role is scheduled 2:30 PM to 10:00 PM during the week, with every other weekend from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The part-time position offers a variety of shifts, including 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM every other weekend, 2:30 PM to 10:00 PM, and occasional 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM shifts.

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at LSS you will:

• Find purpose with our deep and meaningful work that has a person-centered approach to care.
• Provide guidance and encouragement, while building purposeful relationships with your individuals.
• Advocate for your individuals in all aspects of their life, including community engagement and support in essential living skills.
• Maintain documentation, perform record keeping, and participate in periodic meetings/training according to regulations and LSS standards.

What you offer LSS as a DSP:

• The desire to help individuals with disabilities achieve their personal hopes and dreams through person centered care and support.
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to read and write in English
• A valid driver's license, acceptable driving record and the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Check.
• The ability to successfully pass a DHS background check.
