Job summary

Advance Auto Parts, Inc. is seeking a Retail Parts Pro to deliver GAS2 selling experience to DIY customers and phone inquiries. You will handle advanced parts identification, automotive systems knowledge, and source from multiple channels while maintaining store standards and safety.

The role requires 3–5 years of automotive parts experience, ASE certification preferred, and the ability to work a variety of days, evenings, and weekends. Valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic ability across engines, suspensions, brakes and electronics.
• Fluent in English; Spanish a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedures; write simple correspondence.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational skills; ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings and weekends.
• 3–5 years of prior automotive parts experience with proven sales ability.
• ASE certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide GAS2 selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal / store sales goals and service objectives.
• Manage DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and store appearance standards.
• Key holder responsibilities (task assignment and completion, safety, open/close duties).
• Assist in store inventory processes including truck put away, cycle counts, back stock, etc.
• Store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot.
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
