Job summary

City-of-Dove seeks a skilled Community Services Director to perform high-level mechanical work on gasoline and diesel vehicles and heavy equipment. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week with a full benefits package and a salary range of $29.11–$42.10 per hour.

The position entails overhauls, major repairs, diagnostics, welding, fabricating parts, and preventive maintenance. Requires Seven years' heavy equipment repair experience, CDL-B with air brake and tanker endorsements, ASE

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of standard maintenance practices for heavy-duty gasoline and diesel engines and equipment.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical defects and determine parts and adjustments needed for repair.
• Experience with SCR/DPF emissions systems and heavy-duty electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Overhauls, adjusts, maintains and repairs motor driven equipment such as automobiles, trucks, graders, tractors, sweepers, loaders and related mechanical equipment.
• Perform major repairs by disassembling and replacing worn parts and engines; repair transmissions, brakes, cooling and fuel systems.
• Use computer for diagnosing fault codes and data on equipment with internal controls.
• Weld and fabricate parts, install equipment, and perform preventive maintenance and repairs at job sites as required.
• Maintain accurate computerized work logs and repair orders.
