Job summary

EMERALD COAST STRIPING LLC is seeking an experienced Diesel Shop Mechanic for their day shift, Monday to Friday, with a pay range of $24-$28 per hour based on experience. The role involves servicing and repairing diesel engines, as well as performing various mechanical and electrical repairs.

Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years experience in a heavy equipment or diesel shop, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to execute instructions effectively.

Job description

During our time of growth, we are seeking an experienced Diesel Shop Mechanic to work our day shift, Monday-Friday team. $24-$28 per hour based upon experience.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair diesel engines, brakes, hydraulics, electrical, mechanical, and air; front and rear suspensions.
• Analyze and tune engines through the use of engine analyzer, ignition analyzer, injector pump tester, and coolant
• Diagnose all failures of equipment, remove and replace parts as necessary, and repair any and all mechanical and electrical issues that arise.
• Repairing and replacing damaged or worn parts on all equipment.
• Operating and inspecting equipment to diagnose defects
• Diagnosing faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices.
• Demonstrate integrity and ethics.
• Performs all necessary vehicle repairs as assigned
• Maintains a safe, clean, productive and efficient work
• Identifies and reports any repairs found to be necessary whether or not previously Indicates any necessary repairs that are above current qualification level.
• Records time spent, parts used, and repairs on the appropriate forms provided as each activity is completed.
• Ensures compliance of work and work area with appropriate state and federal regulations regarding equipment and equipment

Requirements

• Minimum of 3+ years experience working in a heavy equipment/diesel shop, 5 years preferred
• Extensive experience with engine, electrical and hydraulic repairs
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability.
• Ability to understand and execute verbal and written instructions.
• Must be cooperative and show initiative towards improving skills.
• Ability to work productively with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer skills needed for data entry into maintenance systems
