Job summary

Honoka'a Hospital, part of Hawaiʻi Health Systems Corporation’s East Hawaii Region, seeks an Imaging Specialist II to perform diagnostic radiologic examinations with a focus on patient safety and high-quality care. The role collaborates with physicians, nurses, and staff to deliver timely imaging services across the lifespan.

Requirements include a JRCERT-accredited bachelor’s degree, 6 months imaging experience, ARRT Radiography certification, and BLS within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a JRCERT-recognized program or equivalent experience.
• 6 months of imaging technologist experience.
• ARRT certification in Radiography and BLS within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations and specialized imaging procedures per orders and protocols.
• Position patients, administer contrast media as required, and explain procedures to patients.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, monitor image quality, and transfer images via PACS/EMR.
• Assist physicians and staff with procedures while following radiation and patient safety guidelines.
• Collect clinical information, obtain consent when required, and maintain patient records.
• Engage in quality assurance, ongoing education, and cross-training to support operations.
