Job summary

Kona Community Hospital is seeking an Imaging Specialist IV to perform radiation therapy procedures, simulations, and treatment planning as part of the care team. You will assist in fabricating treatment aides and may work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays under physician direction.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology, Hawaii licensure, and advanced modality certifications. This position is based at Kona Community Hospital on the Big Island, Hawaii.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an approved JRCERT-recognized program.
• One and a half years imaging technologist experience and one year specialized experience in modalities such as angiography, CT, MRI, mammography, vascular, or radiation therapy.
• Current Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license and Hawaii Nuclear Medicine/ Radiation Therapist licenses as applicable.
• Advanced certification in modality (ARRT/ARDMS/others) or equivalent.
• Supervisory aptitude demonstrated through prior leadership roles or training.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiation therapy treatments, simulations, and treatment planning.
• Fabricate specialized treatment aides as prescribed by the physician.
• Work rotating shifts, including weekends/holidays; standby and call back may be required.
