Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a Diagnostic/CT Technologist to prepare patients and perform radiographic and CT examinations per physicians' orders and the department procedures. The incumbent will produce high quality images, document results, follow radiation safety practices, assist with patient transport, and contribute to performance improvement initiatives within Radiology.

ARRT certification and state licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT registration in Radiologic Technology required or cross-training completion.
• VA state license required for outpatient facilities.
• CPR certification and practical radiology experience expected.
• Minimum 6 months relevant experience; 3 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiology and CT exams and verify orders.
• Perform radiology and CT procedures across age groups with accuracy.
• Transport patients as needed and adhere to safety policies.
• Maintain radiology equipment and safety protocols and document data.
• Engage with students and support the MWH School of Radiologic Technology.
