Job summary

Actalent is seeking a CNC Programming Machinist to develop and maintain CNC programs using NX-CAM for multi-axis milling, turning, grinding, and EDM in a heavy-duty plant environment in Greenville, SC.

The role requires hands-on CNC programming expertise, tool/fixture design involvement, and strong problem-solving in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Onsite work and permanent placement are anticipated.

Qualifications

• Experience with graphical-based CAM systems for CNC programming.
• Familiarity with 3-2-1 nesting and basic probing routines.
• Working knowledge of CMM/metrology concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain CNC programs using NX-CAM for multi-axis milling, turning, grinding, and EDM.
• Verify new CNC programs with Vericut before shop floor release.
• Provide CNC support to Manufacturing Engineers and train operators during new or rebuilt machine startups and process improvements.
• Offer daily operator support for CNC programming and troubleshooting.
• Support tooling and fixturing requirements for CNC machine tools.
• Generate and support workstation instructions for CNC-related issues.
• Initiate and lead process improvement projects to enhance safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
• Communicate effectively with team members and work in a matrixed organization.
• Embrace and drive positive change in a fast-paced environment.
