Belvac in Lynchburg, VA is seeking a CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC machines, including 5-axis mills, turning and grinding as required. You will follow prints and instructions to produce precise parts and ensure quality.

The ideal candidate will have experience with speeds and feeds, tool layouts, and the ability to run multiple CNC machines in a production environment. This is an onsite, full-time role with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience setting cutting speeds and feeds per machining instructions.
• Ability to hold tight tolerances to +/-0.0003 inch.
• Proficiency with multiple CNC machines (lathe, mill, grinder).

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines according to work instructions.
• Maintain tolerances to +/-0.0003 inch.
• Prepare machine setups for multiple CNC pieces and improve changeover times.
• Operate 5 Axis CNC Mills and related equipment to optimize production.
