Job summary

Dover Corporation's Belvac division in Lynchburg, VA is seeking a CNC Machinist A to set up and operate CNC equipment, performing precision machining operations on a variety of parts. The role requires following prints, maintaining strict tolerances, and coordinating with production teams to meet schedules.

Candidates should be proficient with tool speeds/feeds, have strong blueprint reading skills, and be able to run multiple CNC machines while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC machines per prints and work instructions.
• Ability to set tools, speeds, feeds, and tolerances to tight specs.
• Strong knowledge of shop mathematics and layout techniques.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC machines and perform turning, milling, boring, threading, and facing.
• Maintain tolerances to +/-0.0003 inch as required by drawings.
• Read and interpret prints and setup requirements for each job.
• Operate multiple CNC machines with 3+ different functions when needed.
• Ensure quality and safety in all machining operations.
