Job summary

Sagora Senior Living is seeking an Advanced Certified Medication Aide (ACMA) to join our Lyndale Edmond community in Edmond, OK. The role involves administering and documenting medications, monitoring residents, and assisting with daily living activities to maintain dignity and independence. Starting pay is $19.06 per hour, with full-time shifts 7a-3p or 3p-11p; 4 days on, 2 days off. Benefits include telemedicine, on-demand pay, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• ACMA certification per Oklahoma requirements.
• Prefer 2 years' experience managing medication for seniors.
• Proficient with EMAR and medical terminology.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong organization and multitasking ability.

Responsibilities

• Administer and accurately record administration of medications as prescribed under supervision of a nurse.
• Obtain, record, and report resident vital signs.
• Manage supply of medications.
• Provide accounting for all medications ordered, received, stored, and administered.
• Care for the personal needs, safety, and comfort of residents.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including wardrobe, personal hygiene, and mobility.
• Aid in daily tasks such as housekeeping, use of telephone, laundry, transportation, and mail delivery.
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition and status.
• Conduct rounds to monitor for hazards or incidents.
• Assist in dining including escorting residents to dining room, serving, and clean up.

What does a ACMA at Sagora do?

• Administer and accurately record administration of medications as prescribed by a resident's physician(s) in accordance with company policy and applicable state and federal guidelines under supervision of a nurse
• Obtain, record, and report resident vital signs
• Manage supply of medications
• Provide accounting for all medications ordered, received, stored, and administered
• Care for the personal needs, safety, and comfort of our residents
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including wardrobe, personal hygiene, and mobility
• Aid in daily tasks such as housekeeping, use of telephone, laundry, transportation, and mail delivery

What do you need to be an ACMA?

• Must be certified as an Advanced Certified Medication Aide (ACMA) and meet Oklahoma's specific certification requirements
• Prefer 2 years' experience managing medication for seniors
• Good understanding of Med Terminology and Pharmacology Terminology
• Must be proficient in the use of computers, specifically, EMAR
• First Aid certification per state requirements
• The ideal candidate will be caring, organized, and able to multi-task
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, and other team members.
