Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking an Advanced Clinical Tech II for Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, MA. This night-shift role (7:00pm–7:00am) with weekend/holiday rotation offers a $1,500 new hire sign-on bonus and a 36-hour work week.

Under nursing supervision, you will perform direct patient care including phlebotomy, EKG, and minor invasive procedures, while assisting with data entry and order transcription. Active paramedic license and certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Equal to completion of four years of high school plus specialized courses and training.
• Minimum 2 years of working paramedic experience
• Current Paramedic License, BLS and ACLS certification required.
• PALS and MOAB certification required within one year of hire.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or approved exemption with signed statement.

Responsibilities

• Under direct nursing supervision, perform direct patient care including phlebotomy and EKG.
• Start upper extremity peripheral IVs under nursing direction.
• Conduct patient interviews and provide clerical support (registration, data entry, orders, medical records).

Hours: 36hrs

Shift: Night shift, 7:00pm - 7:00am with weekend and holiday rotation

Under direct nursing supervision of Emergency Department Manager or Designee, perform variety of duties in providing direct patient care including phlebotomy, EKG, minor invasive procedures and in accordance with physicians* orders. Provides certain ACLS level skills through identification, escalation and notification of clinical staff for lethal cardiac monitor rhythm alarms Under the direction of nursing may start upper extremity peripheral IVs. Conduct patient interviews and provide clerical support including but not limited to patient quick registration, data/order entry, minor transcription of orders, collation of medical records and other clerical duties as assigned.

• Minimum 2 years of working paramedic experience
• Current Paramedic License, BLS and ACLS certification required.
• PALS and MOAB certification required within one year of hire.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
