Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician III to support safe, efficient pharmacy operations under pharmacist supervision at 275 Charles Street in Boston. You will prepare, label, package, and dispense medications, manage inventory, and work with automated dispensing cabinets and robotics.

The role requires MA license and board certification, with 2–3 years of experience. Expect collaboration with pharmacists, adherence to safety and HIPAA rules, and ongoing competency

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician License required
• Board Certified Pharmacy Technician from a nationally approved technician certification board (PTCB CPhT or NHA ExCPT) required
• 2-3 years of experience as a pharmacy technician

Responsibilities

• Assist in safe, efficient pharmacy operations under pharmacist leadership.
• Prepare, label, package, repackage, and dispense medications for pharmacist verification.
• Manage medication inventory, storage, replenishment, delivery, returns, recalls, and controlled substances accountability.
• Operate pharmacy technology and equipment (robotics, software, information systems).
• Follow safety, quality, and regulatory requirements for the assigned area.
• Communicate with patients, caregivers, providers, nurses, insurers, and pharmacies to coordinate care.
• Conduct audits, data analysis, and discrepancy investigations including controlled substances considerations.
• Support workflow improvements and staff onboarding/training.
• Perform other technical and pharmacy-support duties as assigned.
