Job summary

Harborview Medical Center is seeking a part-time Cardiac Sonographer 2 to join the Echo Lab within the Cardiology Diagnostics Department in Seattle. You will perform transthoracic, dobutamine, and treadmill stress echocardiography, and assist with TEEs, providing high‑quality imaging for timely diagnosis.

Qualifications

• Current RDCS certification through ARDMS OR RCS through CCI is required.
• 2+ years of experience as Cardiac Sonographer 1 is required.
• Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications where legal requirements allow.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostic cardiac ultrasound studies including TTE, DSE, and treadmill stress echo.
• Assist physicians during transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) procedures.
• Acquire and optimize high‑quality cardiac images and tailor studies to patient condition.
• Monitor vital signs and patient status during procedures and respond to changes.
• Document measurements and findings in preliminary echocardiography reports.
