Job summary

Harborview Medical Center has an outstanding opportunity for a part-time Cardiac Sonographer 2 to join its Echo Lab within the Cardiology Diagnostics Department in Seattle. This per-diem, 0% FTE position supports day shifts and on-site work with a focus on high-quality imaging and patient care.

The ideal candidate will be RDCS or RCS certified, bring 2+ years of experience, and participate in training, quality initiatives, and on-call coverage as part of a collaborative UW Medicine team.

Qualifications

• Current RDCS or RCS certification required.
• 2+ years of experience as Cardiac Sonographer.
• Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostic cardiac ultrasound studies including transthoracic echocardiography (TTE), dobutamine stress echocardiography (DSE), and treadmill stress echocardiography (TME).
• Assist physicians during transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) procedures.
• Acquire and optimize high‐quality cardiac images and document findings in echocardiography reports.
