Job summary

Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL, is seeking a partially employed Cardiac Sonographer to perform advanced echocardiography and support the Cardiovascular Diagnostics lab. Qualifications

• Requires advanced training beyond high school in Sonography.
• Typically 2 years of cardiovascular sonography experience including digital quantification.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 6 months unless exempt by leadership.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced cardiac ultrasound (M-mode, 2-D, Doppler, Color Flow) and obtains measurements for accurate interpretation.
• Identifies cardiac abnormalities and correlates test results with anatomy and function.
• Prepares patients and collects clinical history to tailor echocardiograms.
• Assists in transesophageal studies with cardiologist and prepares equipment.
• Communicates findings to appropriate staff and contributes to lab quality and protocols.
