Job summary

Siemens EDA in Burlington, MA is seeking an Advanced Software Engineer specializing in C++ and digital logic design to join the HAV compiler team.

You will analyze customer designs, map them to emulator resources, and implement new compiler features on Linux with system-level tests. This on-site role requires collaboration across software and Veloce hardware teams in a multi-site environment.

Qualifications

• BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• 2 to 5 years of industry, software development experience in developing large C++ applications as part of a team.
• Demonstrated experience with algorithm and data structure design.
• Understanding of gate level digital logic design.
• Excel both in a team-oriented development and working independently.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve the part of the compiler that analyzes the customer design to map it on emulator resources.
• Analyze clock and data networks, partitioning, placing and synthesis to support mapping.
• Design and implement new functionality for this part of the compiler and support current functionality.
• Write system level tests and develop new testing methods; collaborate across software and hardware teams.
