This is a hourly, 10-month position with hours vary by school assignment and student/program needs. Salary is $21.00/hr, with a comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• HQ status demonstrated by 60 college credits (GPA 2.0+) or AA/AS degree.
• Passing score on the Paraeducator Exam (district info).

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing IEP and Behavior Support Plans.
• Support students with behavioral management and de-escalation.
• Supervise students during instructional and non-instructional times.
• Monitor progress and report to teachers.
• Collect data on academics and behavior as directed.
• Maintain confidentiality per laws.
• Assist with feeding, positioning, hygiene, and swimming needs.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Respond in real time to support classroom behavior.
• Support targeted academic/behavior programs and accommodations.
• Track effectiveness of behavior plans.
• Lead calming routines with staff.
• Reinforce positive behavior and social skills.
• Handle complex student behaviors as needed.
