Job summary

Clear Destination Inc. is seeking a Controls Technician to service and troubleshoot Building Automation Systems in a commercial environment on-site in New Jersey. The role requires 5+ years in HVAC and BAS, with knowledge of BAS components and NEC standards.

A valid driver's license is mandatory, plus driving may be required for site visits. You will perform service calls, installation work on sensors, relays, and programming, and handle basic IT tasks like router restarts and connectivity

Qualifications

5+ years of related HVAC and BAS experience.
Knowledge of BAS control components (AI, UI, DO, DI, Relays, Triacs).
Strong National Electric Code knowledge.
Experience with mechanical systems sequences.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Service of existing EMS/BAS as directed by supervisor.
Service installation work: sensors, relays, programming, or controller replacement.
IT tasks: router power cycling, router configuration, testing internet connectivity.
Coordinate service calls with Service Operations Coordinator to resolve issues.
Develop programming skills for self-sufficient service when remote support is unavailable.
