Job summary

Fermanfordclearwater is seeking a Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain guest and dealership vehicles according to manufacturer specifications and dealership quality standards.

You will diagnose issues, perform routine maintenance, and service systems including engine, transmission, electrical, and HVAC while documenting all work and communicating findings to Service Advisors. This role requires attention to safety and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills.
• Ability to use automotive diagnostic equipment and hand/power tools.
• Good problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Ability to follow technical instructions accurately.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.
• ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicle issues using diagnostic tools, equipment, and technical resources.
• Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire services, and fluid replacements.
• Repair and service vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, suspension, and HVAC components.
• Accurately document all work performed on repair orders.
• Communicate findings, repair needs, and recommendations to Service Advisors or Shop Foreman.
• Follow manufacturer repair procedures, technical service bulletins, and warranty guidelines.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
• Adhere to all dealership safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Participate in ongoing training and certification programs as required.
• Ensure all repairs meet quality standards before vehicle release.
• Assist with additional service department tasks as assigned.
