Job summary

DriveTime Family of Brands is seeking a Diagnostic Technician to perform bumper-to-bumper repairs, part replacements, and advanced diagnostics in a shop setting with no customer interaction.

You will document findings, work with reconditioning center management, and perform repairs on brakes, engine, steering/suspension, cooling, A/C and electrical systems. Applicants must have 5+ years' experience and own a tool set.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; ASE Master is nice to have.
• Vocational/Technical degree or professional experience equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 5+ years of experience and ability to work on all makes and models (Domestic, European and Asian brands).
• You must own your own tool set.

Responsibilities

• Mechanically inspecting vehicles for safety and drivability and documenting findings in inventory management system.
• Repair or reject inventory based on estimated cost of repairs and overall quality of the vehicle.
• Advanced automotive repairs.
• Proficient in cooling, braking, charging, steering/suspension, A/C and electrical system components.
• Identifying and completing repairs effectively the first time to minimize re-work and delays in production.
• Test driving repaired vehicles to ensure issues are fixed.
• Work safely to prevent injuries in the shop.
