Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Savannah, GA, is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician 3 - Welding to perform advanced maintenance on aircraft production equipment. You will utilize MIG, TIG, and Stick welding, read blueprints, and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to keep production running safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5 years of experience with electrical controls and mechanical applications in manufacturing.
• Experience with aircraft production equipment or aerospace manufacturing preferred.
• A 2-year technical degree may offset one year of experience.
• Strong welding experience with MIG, TIG, and Stick processes.
• AWS certification preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
• CMMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on aircraft production equipment.
• Apply MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques to fabricate, repair, reinforce, and modify equipment and components.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, and specifications to support welding and maintenance activities.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
• Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance inspections according to schedules.
• Enter maintenance activities and work orders into the CMMS system.
