Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah seeks a Senior Structural Aircraft Technician to serve as a technical expert, leading and performing complex repairs and inspections of aircraft structures in an MRO environment.

The candidate will interpret SRM/AMM data, mentor others, coordinate with engineering and quality to ensure airworthiness, and drive first-time quality and on-time delivery. Requires 6 years in structural repair and an A&P/FCC/NCATT background, with APU experience beneficial.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• A&P license, FCC license, or NCATT cert preferred.
• Able to read & interpret blueprints, eng docs, CMP data, CBs and ASCs.
• Proficient in operation of all tools & equipment in department.
• Basic understanding of shop math.
• 6 years experience in sheetmetal/hydraulic overhaul or related exp.
• Experience in avionics/elect component repair may offset requirements.
• APU removal, install and service.

Responsibilities

• Mastery of advanced repair techniques for aircraft structures and assemblies.
• Lead complex repairs and damage assessments, guiding technicians.
• Coordinate with engineering and quality to ensure airworthiness.
• Mentor and develop junior Acft Component Repair Techs.
• Maintain FAA Repair Station paperwork and conformance.
• Perform functional and operational tests on mech and elec components.
