Job summary

General Motors is seeking an Advanced Driver Assistance Systems Motion Controls Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and implement ADAS Lateral Control software for Super Cruise and related safety features. You will drive cross-team collaboration to align software deliveries across controllers and production roadmaps.

The role emphasizes real-time software design, architecture optimization, and reusability across scalable ADAS platforms, with collaboration on calibration and field issue

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mechatronics, Software, Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience developing control systems and/or motion planning.
• Advanced control methods: robust, adaptive, nonlinear, and model-predictive controls.
• Experience with automotive simulation/validation (HIL/SIL).
• Proficient in Python and embedded C/C++ programming.

Responsibilities

• Develop algorithms and real-time software for automated driving features (Lane Keep Assist, ACC, Super Cruise).
• Build CI/CD pipelines to validate feature control performance.
• Conduct unit testing and in-vehicle performance testing (SIL/HIL).
• Participate in software change management and calibration activities.
• Collaborate with ADAS teams to deliver high-performance software.
