Job summary

J&T Automotive in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced automotive technician for a flat-rate pay plan. You will diagnose drivability issues, read diagnostic codes, and complete repairs from start to finish, delivering quality work.

Pay is $47-$65 per flagged hour with weekly pay every Monday. Schedule is a five-day work week including one Saturday per month. Benefits include health insurance after 90 days, PTO, paid holidays and uniforms, plus ongoing training and team outings.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of independent automotive repair experience REQUIRED.
• Strong automotive diagnostic and repair capabilities.
• Strong drivability diagnostic skills.
• Ability to diagnose and repair vehicles from start to finish.
• Ability to read diagnostic codes and interpret testing information.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Diagnose and resolve drivability concerns.
• Read and interpret diagnostic codes and test results.
• Complete repairs from initial diagnosis through final repair.
• Perform digital vehicle inspections (DVI).
• Accurately document vehicle findings, inspection results, and repair recommendations.
• Maintain strong productivity while delivering quality repair work.
• Communicate effectively with the service team regarding vehicle findings and repair needs.
