Job summary

Redeemer's Auto in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to perform advanced diagnostics and major mechanical repairs on all makes and models, including diesel vehicles. The role offers a hybrid flat-rate pay plan with a 30-hour weekly guarantee and weekly pay.

You will diagnose, replace engines and transmissions, perform timing component repairs, and document DVI using Tekmetric in a busy shop with 10 bays and 5 lifts. Paid time off and holidays are provided.

Qualifications

• Advanced automotive diagnostic experience.
• Experience with engine and transmission replacements.
• Experience with head gasket, cylinder head, timing belt, and timing component repairs.
• Ability to complete repairs independently from diagnosis through completion.
• Experience performing Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI).
• Strong computer skills and the ability to work effectively with digital shop processes.
• Must have the tools required to perform the assigned automotive diagnostic and repair work.
• ASE certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics and identify repairs.
• Complete engine and transmission repairs including replacements.
• Perform head gasket and timing component repairs.
• Complete repairs from diagnosis to completion independently.
• Document Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) using Tekmetric.
• Service a variety of makes/models, including diesel.
• Maintain productivity with quality workmanship.
• Collaborate with the team for an efficient workflow.
