Job summary

Campbell Clinic in Memphis, TN is seeking an Advance Practice Provider Bone Health (part-time) to assess and counsel at-risk patients within the orthopedic program. The role supports medical management, identifies risk factors, and prepares patients for surgery under physician supervision.

Qualifications

• Education: Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner credentials required.
• Licensing: Active Tennessee license where applicable; board certification preferred.
• Experience: Prior minor/urgent care exposure is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Counsels pre-op patients to identify and modify risk factors.
• Performs patient evaluation and workup under physician supervision.
• Orders labs and diagnostics; interprets data for diagnosis and plan.
• Instructs patients on medications and health maintenance.
• Coordinates DME with medical management program.
• Evaluates patient status via labs, imaging, and notes.
• Provides ongoing assessment of performance and outcomes.
• Collaborates with physician; maintains patient records.
• Executes post-operative orders and follow-up care.
• Triages calls and provides consultations; assists with injections.
• Performs other duties as assigned by clinic manager.

POSITIONSUMMARY

Assessment and counseling of at risk patients as part of the medical management program to identify and modify medical risk factors for optimal outcomes and prepare patients for surgery. Provides health care services to patients under the direction, supervision and responsibility of the orthopaedic physician. Basic assessment and management of Orthopedic conditions, after proper training, will be required.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Physician Assistant:Bachelor’s degree required. Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant educational program recognized by the state committee of Physician Assistants and the Board of Medical Examiners. Successful completion of the examination of the National Board for Certification of Physician Assistants.

Nurse Practitioner:Master’s Degree Required in Nursing. Must hold and maintain a current RN license in Tennessee. Must hold and maintain current National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner.

Experience: Previous experience in minor medical care and emergency care is required.

Computer Skills: Must be computer literate. Intermediate computer skills are required.

Other Requirements: Interest in Research would be beneficial. Must be willing to market the program.

Certifications & Licenses: Physician Assistant: Must hold and maintain a valid license issued by the National Board for Certification of Physician Assistants

Nurse Practitioner:Must hold and maintain a current RN license in Tennessee. Must hold and maintain current National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
