Job summary

Campbell Clinic, located in Cookeville, Tennessee, is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide health care services under orthopaedic physician supervision. The role includes evaluating patients, assisting in surgeries, and coordinating care with physicians.<\/p>

The ideal candidate will have a CA or PA degree, board certification, and TN licensure, with prior minor and emergency care experience and strong computer skills. A comprehensive benefit package is offered. <\/p>

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Successful completion of the NBCE exam? (National Board for Certification of Physician Assistants)
• Must hold and maintain a valid PA license as required by the state of Tennessee
• Previous experience in minor medical care and emergency care is required
• Must be computer literate and able to use EMR systems

Responsibilities

• Perform patient evaluation and workup, including history, physical exam, and education
• Interpret data to determine diagnosis and therapeutic plan
• Collaborate with physicians on plan of care
• Maintain and review patient records and pertinent information
• Assist in surgeries and with reductions as directed
• Administer injections and first aid as needed
• Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance

POSITION SUMMARY

Provides health care services to patients under the direction, supervision and responsibility of the orthopaedic physician.

• Institutes and executes protocols as specified byphysician
• Administers all recognized first aid procedures in the event of anemergency
• Administers injections, aspirations, removal and placement of sutures/staples asnecessary
• Performs and assists with reductions of fractures anddislocations as well as the removal or excision of superficial orthopaedic hardware
• Assists in surgery as directed by assignedsurgeon
• Regular and predictableattendance
• Ability to work in a cooperative manner with others
• Performs other related duties asassigned

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s degree required. Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant educational program recognized by the state committee of Physician Assistants and the Board of Medical Examiners. Successful completion of the examination of the National Board for Certification of Physician Assistants.

Experience: Previous experience in minor medical care and emergency care is required.

Computer Skills: Must be computer literate. Intermediate computer skills are required.

Certifications & Licenses: Physician Assistant: Must hold and maintain a valid license issued by the National Board for Certification of Physician Assistants
