Service Corporation International is seeking an Advance Planning Funeral Director to serve client families with pre-need arrangements and exceptional personalized service across multiple communities in New Jersey. The role focuses on community engagement and revenue generation while acting as the primary family contact.

You will lead presentations, manage inquiries with empathy, and collaborate with funeral directors and location staff to deliver high-quality service and protect families’

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years of college or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 1–2 years in customer service or sales preferred.
• Licenses: Valid driver’s license; insurance license if required by state; state Funeral Directors License.
• Knowledge/Abilities: Strong communication, empathy, and ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prospect for new families and generate referrals daily.
• Network with community and civic groups to build relationships.
• Present pre-need planning options to families and referred clients.
• Maintain activity logs and stay productive.
• Provide timely, respectful, and professional responses to inquiries.
• Build trust-based relationships to request referrals and educate on benefits of pre-planning.
• Collaborate with funeral directors and staff to ensure seamless service.
