Job summary

Commonpoint Queens ( Samuel Field YM and YWHA ) is seeking a Full-Time Education Coordinator to advance workforce development for adult job seekers. You will organize DSP-related and general workforce readiness programs, coordinate trainings, and support program implementation across Bronx and Queens sites.

You will engage diverse learners, adapt curricula, and facilitate hybrid sessions both in person and online while documenting progress and outcomes for seamless program delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Services, Social Work, Healthcare or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in teaching adult learners.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate workforce development activities in hybrid (virtual and in-person) settings to prepare adult job seekers for employment success.
• Monitor participant attendance, engagement, participation and outcomes while maintaining accurate program documentation and case notes.
• Support participant recruitment, onboarding, retention and successful program completion.
• Support efficient program operations and compliance with program and reporting requirements.
• Contribute to strong participant retention and completion outcomes aligned with workforce development goals.
• Facilitate workforce development workshops and training activities for diverse adult participants, including neurodivergent individuals.
• Provide coaching, feedback, resources and individualized support to help participants develop workforce skills and achieve employment goals.
• Promote an inclusive and supportive environment that encourages participant engagements.
• Support workforce training and career development initiatives aligned with industry needs.
• Represent Commonpoint professionally community and training partners.
• Travel between Bronx and Queens locations based on program and operational needs.
• Collaborate with program staff to support high-quality program delivery and student success.
• Communicate regularly regarding participant attendance, progress and support needs.
• Ensure compliance with program policies, procedures and reporting standards.
• Maintain organized records and effectively utilize virtual learning platforms and technology.
