Job summary

City of Celina, TX is seeking an Adult Services Technician to support the Adult Services Supervisor and librarians by creating educational displays, developing age-appropriate programs, and assisting at reference and circulation desks. The role emphasizes service, collaboration, and adherence to library best practices.

Under supervision, you will follow established policies, participate in ongoing training, and contribute to a welcoming, inclusive library experience for residents and visitors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in library science or related field.
• Two years of experience in Adult Services preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen, criminal background investigation and MVR check.
• Must possess valid class C driver’s license.

As the Adult Services Technician, you will: assist the Adult Services Supervisor and Adult Services Librarians in developing educational displays, age-appropriate programming based on library best practices, and works the reference and circulation service desks as needed. Under the general supervision of the Adult Services Supervisor, the Adult Services Technician follows guidelines, policies, procedures, and expectations.

The City of Celina operates on a 4-day work week.
