Job summary

Lincolnwood Public Library District is seeking a bright, approachable Adult Services Associate to join the Adult Services team. The role focuses on front-line service at the Adult Services desk and supporting the department with clerical tasks, statistics, and updates to public resource guides for electronic databases.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s or equivalent library experience and are proficient with technology and communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, or equivalent library education and experience.
• One year of library experience working with adults preferred.
• Advanced technology skills and strong communication required.

Responsibilities

• Provide reference and reader’s advisory services to patrons at the Adult Services desk, including phone calls and email correspondence.
• Assist patrons with use of the department’s technology, digital resources, and Library of Things equipment.
• Maintain evolving knowledge of the library’s comprehensive services, programming, collections, and resources.
