Job summary

Compass Health Center in Northbrook and its virtual treatment programs seeks an Adult Psychiatrist to lead our eating disorders PHP/IOP services. The role focuses on evaluation, medication management, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to stabilize patients and support recovery.

Qualifications

• Board eligible or board certified in Psychiatry.
• Licensed in Illinois or eligible to obtain Illinois medical licensure.
• Preferred minimum of 3 years’ experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DEA registration and applicable controlled substance prescribing privileges.
• Experience or strong interest in eating disorders (Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, ARFID, and Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorders).
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, and ongoing treatment for adults in PHP/IOP programs across Northbrook and virtual settings.
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments including eating disorders and co-occurring conditions.
• Lead multidisciplinary treatment teams.
• Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans for stabilization, nutrition, and recovery.
• Support family and care coordination for transitions between levels of care.
• Provide clinical leadership and risk assessment guidance.
• Maintain timely clinical documentation per regulatory and payer requirements.

About This Role

Compass Health Center is seeking an Adult Psychiatrist to join our Eating Disorders Program serving patients across our Northbrook and Virtual treatment programs.

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Adult Psychiatrist who is passionate about providing exceptional care to individuals with eating disorders and co-occurring psychiatric conditions. In this role, you will lead interdisciplinary treatment teams within a nationally recognized Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), helping patients achieve meaningful recovery through evidence-based, patient-centered care.

What You'll Do

• Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, and ongoing treatment for adults participating in ourPHP andIOPprograms.
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including evaluation of eating disorders, co-occurring mood, anxiety, trauma-related, obsessive-compulsive, and substance use disorders.
• Lead multidisciplinary treatment teams consisting of therapists, dietitians, nurses, family therapists, and other psychiatric providers.
• Collaborate with treatment team members to develop and adjust individualized treatment plans that support medical and psychiatric stabilization, nutritional rehabilitation, and long-term recovery.
• Participate in family and care coordination efforts to support successful transitions across levels of care.
• Provide clinical leadership and guidance regarding psychiatric treatment recommendations and risk assessment.
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with organizational, regulatory, and payer requirements.
• Support patient care across both Northbrook-based and virtual programming as clinically indicated.

Who You Are

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry.
