Job summary

The State of Missouri is seeking an APS Specialist II to protect seniors and adults with disabilities. The role involves home visits, interviewing victims and caregivers, and coordinating protective services within a local multi-county area in Missouri.

You will participate in on-call rotations and travel as needed, with travel requiring use of your own vehicle and minimal overnight stays. A Bachelor's degree or relevant experience qualifies you for consideration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience substituted for education.
• Strong communication and interviewing skills.
• Able to work independently and show initiative within a team.

Responsibilities

• Investigate reports of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of the elderly (60+) and disabled (18+).
• Conduct home visits to observe surroundings and interview victims and caregivers.
• Coordinate interventions and ongoing protective services needs.
• Be available for on-call rotation with team members.
• Travel within local multi-county area for home visits, hearings, and training; minimal overnight travel.
