Job summary

The State of Missouri is seeking an APS Specialist II to investigate abuse, neglect, and exploitation of the elderly and disabled. You will conduct home visits, interview victims and caregivers, and coordinate protective services in a multi-county area.

You must have strong communication and interview skills, be independent, resilient, and capable of critical thinking. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required; occasional on-call duties and travel are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience accepted.
• Experience as LPN/RN or in social services may substitute education.
• Strong communication and interviewing abilities required.

Responsibilities

• Investigate reports of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of the elderly (60+) and disabled (18+).
• Conduct home visits to observe surroundings and interview victims and caregivers.
• Coordinate interventions and ongoing protective services needs.
• Be available for on-call rotation with the team; travel within a multi-county area.
• Utilize personal vehicle; minimal overnight travel may be required.
