Position Overview: The DHS Division of Aging Services (DAS), Adult Protective Services (APS) seeks candidates for Adult Protective Services Case Manager 2. This role is based in Savannah, Chatham County, GA, with travel to Glynn, Liberty, Long, McIntosh, Wayne, Appling, & Camden counties.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Investigate protective service reports meeting APS criteria and determine intervention appropriateness promptly.
  • Assess risk levels and act to ensure client safety.
  • Provide follow-up and resources to prevent recurrence of abuse/neglect/exploitation.
  • Initiate legal guardianship processes as a last resort for incapacitated adults.
  • Maintain documentation and complete reports timely.
  • Stay updated on policies, laws, and trends through training.
  • Perform additional professional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited institution, or
  • One year of experience at the Adult Protective Services Case Manager 1 level or equivalent.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Experience with issues such as family violence, crisis intervention, substance abuse, elderly or disabled services.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for work-related travel.
