Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Social Services seeks an Adult Protective Services Case Manager to protect, stabilize and strengthen lives of vulnerable adults. You will assess risk, coordinate services with families, providers and legal systems, and support emergency responses in Spartanburg County.

Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Behavioral Science, or Social Science is required; a master’s degree may substitute for work experience. Benefits include health and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social-related field required or substitution with experience.
• Experience in professional case management for vulnerable adults preferred.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional case management for vulnerable adults per policy.
• Assess risk, plan services, and coordinate with partners and courts.
• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic case systems.
• Support emergency response and cross-county assistance as needed.
