Job summary

The Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan on the Upper West Side is seeking an Adult Program Manager to oversee adult programs for individuals with I/DD, guiding CORE and Route 21+ initiatives with a clinical lens. You will coordinate staff, intake processes, and program development to promote independence, social belonging, and lifelong learning.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Special Education, Psychology, Recreation Therapy, Disability Studies, or related field.
• Clinical experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Experience coordinating programs, community initiatives, or recreational programming.
• Experience supervising facilitators, part-time staff, interns, and volunteers.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple programs and logistical details simultaneously.
• Comfort working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage adult programming, including CORE and Route 21+ initiatives.
• Promote social connection, belonging, and independence through engaging activities.
• Collaborate with the team to identify gaps and develop new offerings for higher-need adults.
• Track attendance, engagement, and feedback to inform program improvements.
• Coordinate logistics such as scheduling, room reservations, and staff coverage.
• Support intake processes for new families and connect participants with appropriate placements.
